So what if this guy likes to get the tasting menu when he goes out to fancy schmancy joints like Chanterelle? It's the best way to try the widest selection of dishes without blowing your entire paycheck. Plus, if you're with others, you can strategically order to try a wider variety of goods. The only problem is that, if you set up a foodie blog a year later, you won't be able to remember what you actually ate and you'll find it necessary to fluff up your description with nonsense in the hope that people won't really give a crap about your dining experience. They might just love you because you're a workingman.
